Established and officially incorporated on 28th September 2018, APOMOG was formed in response to the growing need to organize and empower smallholder palm oil producers and artisanal millers within Ghana’s expanding oil palm value chain. Prior to its formation, many small-scale producers operated independently without structured representation, limited access to financing, inadequate technical training, and minimal bargaining power in local and export markets.
Since incorporation, APOMOG has worked collaboratively with regulators, development partners, financial institutions, and private sector actors to professionalize Ghana’s artisanal palm oil industry.
The Artisanal Palm Oil Millers and Out Growers Association Ghana (APOMOG) is committed to transforming Ghana's artisanal palm oil sector into a structured, competitive, and sustainable industry that contributes significantly to national economic growth and rural livelihood development.
