About Us

Our Journey

The History of Our Success

History and Background

Established and officially incorporated on 28th September 2018, APOMOG was formed in response to the growing need to organize and empower smallholder palm oil producers and artisanal millers within Ghana’s expanding oil palm value chain. Prior to its formation, many small-scale producers operated independently without structured representation, limited access to financing, inadequate technical training, and minimal bargaining power in local and export markets.

The Association was therefore created to:

  • Provide structured representation
  • Improve access to training and technology
  • Promote sustainable palm oil production
  • Strengthen traceability and quality assurance
  • Enhance market access both locally and internationally

Since incorporation, APOMOG has worked collaboratively with regulators, development partners, financial institutions, and private sector actors to professionalize Ghana’s artisanal palm oil industry.

Objectives
  • Promote sustainable and environmentally responsible palm oil production
  • Improve technical capacity and operational efficiency of members
  • Facilitate access to finance and development support
